Our Founders' Story

Yingteng Ng and Nadia Ismadi were classmates during A levels and have know each other for more than 10 years. They both have very different experiences with money but one common goal to make savings happen without thinking about savings.

After a couple of years working for an asset management firm, Nadia realizes that she’s always finding herself wondering where did all her money went and how she can save more effectively. It will be great if somehow savings are just magically done while she’s going about her life.

Yingteng on the other hand, is great with money. Back when she was studying, she had a jar where she will drop the ￡1 coins every time, she had them. At the end of a year she got her mum a designer bag. That was when she thought, it will be great if somehow, she can make this jar digitally for various goals.

The two met up and shared this thought one fine day and got to work. That’s how Pod started.
